Re: Lions at Alouettes, Game Day Thread, November 22, 2009
Woohoo it's almost here, I'm so excited and looking forward to a close game. The Lions NEED to stop the medium range passes over the middle and smother the Als running game. I think we can win today!

Re: O-Line issues
The O-line really has no excuses, the whole league knows Etchevery is agressive with a lot of stunts and the guys have been playing football their whole lives they should know how to pick up the stunts correctly. They simply didn't execute tonight, no team should give up 9 sacks no matter how green ...

As a positive the O-line made my 15 year old underwear look good because now I found something that has more holes in it!

Re: Western Final-Getting Ready For The Stamps!!!
I would like to see some 3-4 with one ILB spying Burris, and one blitzing on passing downs. Calgary is going to try to burn us with the QB draw.
I also love a blitz out of the 3-4 where the ILB and OLB from the same side rush the QB. There isn't much 3-4 in the league so it can really throw the o ...

Re: Ratings not good for Saturday games
The fact that there were 0 Eastern teams playing last weekend had almost everything to do with the low ratings. The fans they did get watching in Ontario were most likely the die hards. The casual Argo/Ti-cat fans don't care about the Esks or the Bombers or who the Als will be playing. And most Als ...

He's not 100% - let's be honest - this year, if you took the "88" and the name "Dominguez" off the jersey and sent the player out there, he looked pretty ordinary. Don't get me wrong, I love Matt, but three surgeries in three years are taking their toll.

Re: So whats the word on who will start at QB?
The way the Riders play defence will also be a factor. If they are allowing us the short underneath stuff then Buck is the guy to get it done. However, if they play us tight underneath, and I'm anticipating Richie Hall will, and Buck can't go over the top or is inaccurate with his deeper throws ...

Re: Regina Weather for Saturday's Game
[Agree that McCallum's experience kicking in the windy conditions of Taylor Field could be a huge factor in this game.
In conditions like this, the opening coin toss could also be a factor. Winning the toss would allow the Lions to have the wind at their backs in the fourth quarter. Hopefully for ...

Re: Smart Move - Lowell's blog
There will be opportunities to use both scatbacks at once. Toronto's defence, unless Matthews make substantial changes, can be exploited to B.C.'s advantage. Saskatchewan's isn't. It needs to be attacked vertically. I expect Logan to get some touches but have a limited role on offence this week ...
