Re: A Sad Loss--Sorry Rider Fans!!!!!

The background shows how many people showed up at Mosaic. http://a123.g.akamai.net/f/123/12465/1d/www.leaderpost.com/sports/VANSTONE+Riders+home+healing+begins/2287351/Photo+gallery+Riders+homecoming+Mosaic+Stadium/2287424/2287717.bin?size=620x400 At least the Saskatchewan Premier was there. http:/...

Re: Don't mean to rub it in, but.....

If u watch the reply there is one player who doesnt come out for the second fg try, #31 Sean Lucas. Was it the same formation? Different formations call for different personell... Does it really matter? I think I'm long past finger-pointing and recriminations...and that'll be one replay I'll never ...

How do you figure? Because Dinwiddie started instead of Glenn?

Injuries are part of the game...doesn't mean the Riders didn't deserve the win.

Re: Congrats Als

The city of Montreal will be holding a parade to celebrate the Alouette's championship on Wednesday. That's a lot more than what the city of Vancouver did for its 1994, 2000, and 2006 Lions championships. There's a rally at Mosaic Stadium this afternoon to welcome the Riders home. Several thousand ...

Re: Congrats Als

Being down 27-11 in the 4th quarter and coming back for the victory in the biggest game of the year? Wow. Good teams always find a way to win and the 2009 Alouettes were indeed something special. They didn't go 15-3 in the regular season by fluke. Congratualtions to the Alouettes and their fans - a ...

Re: CFL Expansion Goals For Eternity!

Looks like you put a lot of thought into this and I don't want to rain on your parade, but I don't think Saskatoon could support it's own team, never mind Brandon.

Just my :2cents:

One of the differences in the game could have been Congi's missed FG in the 1st...didn't get even a single out of that...

Re: Don't mean to rub it in, but.....

This reminds me of Don Cherry and the Bruins with the too many men penalty. Don has never mentioned the name of the offending player to this day. Hopefully, the Riders will follow suit. For all the hard times we give you here, I am sorry that this happened for you. For those at Riderfans not so muc...

Re: Riders Final Possession

Would you have given up the safety to allow the game to be tied at that point, making the Als more conservative on O, and hoped for OT? That scenario did run through my mind at the time, but it would have been a gutsy decision to do given the time remaining. Nope but I wouldn't have given up the si...

Re: A Sad Loss--Sorry Rider Fans!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words, folks, but I'm really disappointed right now. We were one stupid penalty from taking the Cup away from a team that many expected to beat us by three touchdowns. Even though there are some already looking for a goat for tonight we Rider fans are very proud of our team righ...

Re: A Sad Loss--Sorry Rider Fans!!!!!

Ugh. I am at a loss for words right now. Not the way I wanted it to go down, for sure.. I think the Riders had 12 on the line for the FG attempt + Armstead for the return = 13 men. For a team that almost no-one figured to even make the playoffs, to (one penalty away from) almost taking the Grey Cup ...
