Sounds like he could be on the way out? Would be a nice addition to the Lions receiving corps...

Re: 48 Hours Later, Bishop on Waivers
O Line - IMO we are already deep at this position: Bates, Reid, Haji, then Valli, Plante, Haemeister, Buydens (at college), Stevenson coming next year from this year's draft.
I thought that Hameister-Ries blew out his knee last offseason and retired (but stayed with the team to rehab the ...

Re: Congrats BC
BUT, what about the Lions dancing on the Mosaic Stadium logo before the game, and Otis Floyd taking a swing at Omarr Morgan after the Rider pregame introductions????? A) Why wasn't Floyd ejected or at least given a 15-yard penalty and B) Why didn't Wally control his team?

Let's show Calgary who they are... "our little brothers"
They "want to be just like us"
Those comments should serve as fuel for the fire in Calgary this week.....

It is such a cliche, but this is the biggest of game of the year. :)
We will find out a lot of things about the 2008 edition of the BC Lions after Saturday:
- Are they going to be in the mix to host the west final or any playoff game?
- Can they win on the road against the top teams in the league ...

Re: Wally turns up the heat on his secondary
This morning on TEAM 1040, when asked to comment on his remarks about Banks - Wally candidly replied: "sometimes the truth hurts".
Oh oh!
Well hopefully that is enough motivation to get them focussed. There were too many openings in our secondary in the 4th quarter last week - that must change ...

Re: Lions vs. Als Game Thread
Earlier today the question was asked if we play well and lose can you accept that. Well I guess this game falls into the category of acceptable, as a ton of issues seemed to be addressed, although the late TD by the D once again arose and a few bad penalties cost us some yardage.

Sure. Except for the last 3 seconds.TheLionKing wrote:The offensive line played well. I don't recall too many times that a Al defender touched Pierce. Hope this is a beginning of something good.
Short yardage execution has been lacking for the past couple of years, but this year it has been abyssmal.

No one's on any ledge, all comments are astute and well-reasoned?
Check the post above mine with the attached quote.

And everyone else in the division has 3 wins too.
We've played one game with a full effort this year. If that trend continues, I stand by the ...
