Elected into the CFL Hall of Fame on June 30, 1979.

Another one of the original 1954 Lions Norm was born in Regina on January 12, 1932. He was named to the Western Conference all star team in 1959, 1960 and in 1963 and to the All CFL team in 1963. He was only the second player in team history to have a "Day" honoring him  November 4, 1962. The fans voted him the Most Popular BC Lion in 1965. He played in a total of 223 games and in every game until the 1966 season. Norm’s off-field activities were as successful as his on field performances. He became the president of his own company and for a time in the 1980s he was president of the BC Lions.
