28, 1975.
One of the original members of the BC
Lions, By scored the Lions’ first-ever touchdown and then his
touchdown against Calgary gave the Lions their first-ever win. The
native of Nebraska and graduate of
Washington State played for Detroit and Green Bay before joining the
Lions in 1954.
He was
honored with his own night in 1960. He set many records during his
career both on offense and defense.
He was switched from fullback to defensive half in 1962 and a year later
was one of the best in the CFL.
