Things in life we regret: Giulio Caravatta Edition

As a member of the Baby Boomer Generation I often (more and more it's happening TOO often) have memories that come to mind that have me recall something I did, or happened to me, that I look back on and regret. It's either that I regret actually DOING the thing, or that I allowed myself to be put in a position where I was blamed for doing it.

Having said that, I'd like to see if I can deflect the focus of this thread from me and aim it toward our favourite BC Lions' ex-QB, BC Lions Radio Personality, and good Italian-Canadian boy, Giulio Caravatta.

The memory in question in this instance comes from late in the 2000's, probably between 2004 and 2009, when I was listening to a BC Lions game broadcast on AM730. During one of the commercial breaks Giulio's familiar voice launched into a personal first-person endorsement of a product that, along with its huckster inventor - was to become a symbol of American Grifterism: My Pillow.

I am in no way, shape, or form trying to defame, shame, or accuse Giulio of any wrongdoing or culpability but I would dearly love to know if this is a genuine memory from the past (and something I'm guessing Giiulio regrets, to some degree) or another example of the Mandela Effect.
