His entire career was with the Als winning two GCs. That's one long, successful playing career.
Matte was originally a first-round pick in the 2010 CFL Draft out of Concordia University. He is one of only four players to ever play 14 or more seasons with the Alouettes alongside Anthony Calvillo, Scott Flory, and Peter Dalla Riva.

I don't know if he has a grasp of technique for RBs and RECs running the ball but he'd definitely grasp the running game and OL blocking.

Grey Cup champion (2010, 2023)
CFL East All-Star 2019, 2021

Wikipedia:
He was drafted seventh overall by the Montreal Alouettes in the 2010 CFL Draft and played his entire 15-year career (2010–2024) with the team after attending mini camp with the NFL's Houston Texans.

In October 2003, Matte played Jason Voorhees in the viral internet short film comedy "Horror Friends"[7] written and directed by his high school friend and former band mate, Jordan Crowder. Matte also had a brief cameo in Crowder's independent feature film "Bend & Break" billed as "Pool Hall Thug."

Music career
Matte was the drummer of the Canadian Punk Band "Cadywoompus[8]" in the early 2000's.

Retired lineman Matte has a lot more to give to CFL game
"For me it was a privilege to be associated with him and I'm still going to be associated in some capacity I am sure," Montreal general manager Danny Maciocia said. "We don't know what the future has in store for us but I'm sure in some capacity we're still going to have some sort of association.

"If there's one thing I'm extremely proud of (is) when all is said and done, we share a Grey Cup and that's something I will always cherish for the rest of my days."

Interesting but not without precedent. Kelly Bates was BC's RBC 2012-14. Buck Pierce got his feet wet in coaching as Winnipeg's RBC 2014-15.
