Excellent stats brought up tedbear. VA adds to the run game stats, but that is in part of his success.
I’m really surprised on the D stats though, very decent. I also expect this D to improve as the season gives them experience. A fun team to watch, capable of winning against any body at this point. And as has been mentioned. there isn’t many cold weather games ahead if the Lions take care of their own business.

There is something to be said about the difference between impressions of a team and what the facts actually say. At this point about 1/3 of the way through the season, the Lions have won 5 straight after losing their opener. The stats show an enviable amount of production in many key categories. Is there room for improvement? Sure, always is but as frustrating as it seems at time, the Lions have consistently shown that they can go with whatever team they are facing right now. There are some weaker cousins in the league but compared to another high performing team in Sask, I would have to say that I feel their current record feels a lot luckier than ours. It's a long season and fortunes can change on a single play but at the moment, I am content that they are doing a pretty good job and seem to be doing so with a lot of relatively new faces. As experience and familiarity grows in some of these areas, there is a lot of upside.
Tell me how long must a fan be strong? Ans. Always.
