Couture has been limited in camp, and Packer has moved up the depth chart to split first-team reps with him, even on Friday when Couture started the game. I'm not sure what is ailing him, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Couture start the season on the injured list, with Packer starting at centre and Peirson dressing as the sixth O-lineman.

Looking like Couture might be good to go. Today's injury report was light on listings. Cherry is listed as DNP still recovering from last year's knee injury. Bemiy and Robertson are listed as LIMITED due to hamstring and toe respectively. Eberhardt didn't take in reps in the 2nd preseason game due to an ankle problem. He's listed as FULL participant today.

Not a surprise that this happened so quickly.

Apparently 3 teams reached out to him almost immediately and he quickly settled on the Riders

I'm not surprised by that either.

I don't view his demise in BC as diminished contribution OR the coaches fear this might happen this season.
If you've got the high quality, younger guy(s) they believe they have and can save some cash, it can be a wise business decision.

Not all players work out in new team situations but I'd be surprised if Sayles were to be a bust or play at just an average level.

I believe Campbell mean it that it was a hard decision.
