I'm kinda thinking like you here.CardiacKid wrote: Fri Jun 14, 2019 10:55 pm Not really in love with the diminished roster, especially if it is being done purely from a $ standpoint. Not sure how the CFLPA would feel about one of their members getting a PR salary instead of an active roster salary.
Very happy to see the additional nationals starting. Hope they acquit themselves well and we continue seeing them.
Not sure I like the idea of a situation where you're rolling the dice that 2 QBs don't get dinged or the back up can't move the ball. Again, what's the message to the 2 QBs who've been here longer than O'Brien? Not sure if Ricky is ready though.
For players there watching it's one thing to be in uni thinking you just might be needed vs in street clothes.
I always thought Dave Ritchie (DC here) used two of his injured players standing at his side and signalling. That got two players' heads into the game and close to the DC's thinking.
Reilly will be hard pressed to go for 447 yards versus Trevor Harris as Harris and Maas have long worked together and maybe Harris had to learn some new terms but he sure didn't have to learn a new offence. As Harris said, his OL gave him tons of time last night and CJ Gable running for 154 yards was impressive. We don't know how this OL will gel but that will be needed if Reilly is going over 300 yards.
The WEST will be tough.
