Re: Setting it Straight!

Sure and you're going to believe him a 100% SHMM :dizzy: lol ok it may not be 75% of the time because special teams was on with Paul booting the ball every time we went 2 and out.. I will look it over and get real numbers.. OR confirm if they're right... lol didn't put how many times we got shut down on 2nd down. :tp: I just get sick of all the dissing the DF, ya they made misstakes but no where near the amount the offense made with CD at OC .. Blah :bang: you guys can't handle the truth :violin: all a bunch of bandwagon junkies :violin:

What?? prove me wrong you look over the hole years states and tell me that the OF was on for the same amount of time as the DF.. Come on, you'll can't handle the truth! wait and see what the new season will bring.. Vancouver band wagon fans, grow some balls
Instead of insulting people because we are intelligent, why don't you actually look at the stats before making yourself look like a pre-pubescent teen who's angry about the fact that his video game controller was taken away by his mommy and daddy? In 2013 the Lions average time of possession was 23:53. Their opponents average TOP was 22:47. So on average we had the ball for longer than our opponents did.

You're welcome.

I was going pro for boxing I am a coach now, im not insulting anyone your all insultanting yourselves with your stupid stats and belittle the only area of the team that was some what functioning.. Come to the club I train at, in Parkville, see if your still talking the same way...
Then perhaps you have been hit in the head too much, because it's clear as day that our offense was not on the field for only 25% of the game. Nobody is belittling the defense. We are all suggesting that all areas of the team need to be better if we want to win the Grey Cup, and I don't think that's wrong at all.

Re: Setting it Straight!

Page 4 of the game notes Key Stat Rankings-semi final clubs

Net offence allowed BC 2nd in the league ..
Rushing yards allowed same 2nd
passing yards allowed 1st

offense
passing yards 7th!
passing efficiency rating 5th
2nd down conv % 5th
2 and OUTs 6th!
Only thing close was the rushing yards at 3rd..
Net offense per game 6th..

And all the good plays that got us yards were mostly broken plays.. because Wally has been so good at picking talent. When Dickenson was here he never listen to Chap he would just see the D was reading Chaps predictable plays and call an audible.. and we won because of it.. I could see Lulay arguing with Chap most time on the field..

the only thing is we couldnt defend the red zone and we were in last... but OF couldn't convert in the red zone either so if you look at it all over all DF stats according to the game notes shows the DF out worked the offense in every area .

You read any of the game notes??

Yup. All valid stats. We may have differing opinions but it's more rewarding to make a point backed up by real stats.

Yeah you're right. It was good entertainment for about 5 minutes...now I"m bored of it. I'm more concerned about who we're going to lose tomorrow. It's a little tougher after you get to know some of the players to know that they may not be back on the team next year. Argh.

That sounds like how I felt when I ran into Ryan Thelwell in the LockerRoom sale after the 2006 GreyCUp win. The writing was on the wall. HE WAS NOT COMING BACK. But he was there autographing things and chatting with us fans. He really seemed to appreciate it when I told him "If you are not coming back, I hope you are but...If you are not coming back, THANKS you were a pleasure to watch in a BC Lion uniform". He seemed touched and shook my hand.

I was so happy to he then got to win ONE MORE BC LION GREY CUP when he was needed to be around due to injuries in 2011. It maybe a business but we the fans and all the LIONS (players/coaches) are human beings too. Of the Lions getting picked by the RedBlacks, I HOPE they are looking for a shot there. The ones who want to retire in orange....I hope they GET TO!
