Works for me. But you can't make many quick passes when you're wrapped up by the defence a half second after the ball is snapped. When is Reid coming back?almo89 wrote:Lapo stating what we have been saying. Quick passes to counter the blitz. For some reason Chap didn't get the memo. Maybe we should hire Lapo as our next OC

It was Lulays primary route, that is the call from the sidelines. Neither here nor there, Lulay needs to be sat down and take a view on what is happening, then go back in there.B.C.FAN wrote:That's Lulay's call. Still, he should hit it. He's overthrown two open receivers on deep routes.Rammer wrote:2nd and 3 and Chaps calls for the long throw which Lulay hits on 10% of the time, just another 2 and out. Soon to be over and out.

Lawrence:
We want to keep Lulay in the pocket, so he cannot extend plays.
Well Chapdelaine wants him in the pocket also, so no problem.

He's taking a second stint on the 9-game. So, probably the 12th of never.Coast Mountain Lion wrote:Works for me. One team today has 5 guys combined sitting out on the 1- and 9-game. The other has 17. If you don't already know which is which, you don't want to.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Defence is stinking up the place as bad as the offence today.

Another easy drive by the Ti-Cats
Re: Lions vs. Ti-Cats Game Day Thread
The Ticats are doing a much better job of exploiting the absence if Elimimian, as expected.
Re: Lions vs. Ti-Cats Game Day Thread
The other thing is all the RP calls helped the Lions with drives, at the expense of Lulay. You would almost think that the Cats are going to take the RP with little respect for Lulay or his backup.

Well, at the rate things are going, I think we all saw this coming, didn't we?

It gets worst
Re: Lions vs. Ti-Cats Game Day Thread
Wake the hell up, Benevides, and challenge that last fumble by Moore!!! I am not sure that Moore ever had control of that ball but it was absolutely worth a challenge.
Re: Lions vs. Ti-Cats Game Day Thread
That was an obvious play call for the TD after the turnover. The Lions weren't ready for it.
