Geroy Simon's debut in green will have to wait at least a week.

The veteran slotback will miss the Saskatchewan Roughriders season opener against the Edmonton Eskimos on Saturday.

Simon left the Roughriders final preseason tuneup against the Calgary Stampeders with a undisclosed injury.

The 37-year-old was acquired from the BC Lions this off-season. Simon is the league's all-time leading receiver.

It is according to the threads and a video interview posted over on riderfans . It sure is looking like Wally did the wise thing on this , Riders could have a pr head ache on their hands now instead of BC .
