Re: Lions @ Eskimos, Game Day Thread, September 22

Pass protection can always be better, but Lulay needs to start hitting the open receivers...

One other note, EDM is selling out completely with pursuit of the ball...Chaps has NOT once called a misdirection play or a boot leg to take advantage of this...huge missed opportunity...if the Lions would use the spread offence in the 2nd half, Lulay can keep the rush honest by pulling out the ball on occasion and taking off in the opposite direction...how doesn't someone in the booth not see this???

Lulay overthrew Johnson in the clear. That's not the only one. Chapdelaine has to find a way to stop the edmonton rush. How about a screen ?

Anyone else tired of seeing MB look like a slob on the sideline? I realise he's not a svelte man, however wearing that sideline jacket that's 3 sizes too big is an embarrassment.

Well done Kalif, that's just what your team needs in a game where you're not sharp, and your D team mate just made a very good play. Idiot.

Bighill just bailed him out, great play by the big man that the O better turn into points.

Great TO, Mitchell - not so smart. Did they say more flags before the break? Lions need to win - not get into that stuff.

Time for Khalif Mitchell to back up his cheak with some bone-crushing tackles and sacks!

Jyles is staring his receivers down and the Lions capitalize with the pick.

For such a talented guy, I'm starting to get tired of Mitchell costing this team. And he doesn't seem to care.

I thought he looks better than trying to have the Belichuk look.

Nice move by Gore to wave the ball out to break the plane for the FD - just like in the TD he made last week. This guy is an ace.

Still doesn't mean it looks 'sharp' at all, though I see your point. That's something that Chamblin, Kavis Reed really have right - they actually look like they should be coaching a football team, setting a good example for their players in terms of fitness and image.

Lulay missed yet another open receiver, that's a tough throw but one he has to make.

If McCallum can't make a 43 yarder, it is time to make a change at kicker. Time catches up to all players, and this year his drop-off has been a sharp one.

Team isn't much sharper coming out of the half, a bit worried at this point.
