13-5. Let's keep that margin for the next 0:32.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Great play calling and execution by the Lions offense on that final drive; hopefully they come out with confidence in the second half.

Slow start to the half but stronger finish. Need to maintain that momentum in the final 30.

Ferocious defensive battle. Calgary's D Line playing their brains out.

So does that Hufnagel challenge count as a 'positive' challenge or not? I'm just curious because obviously he's hoping for either A: incomplete pass or B: Bruces fumble recovery and advancement don't count.

It probably won't matter but if Hufnagel is successful on his next challenge, whether this first one was successful or not determines whether the Stamps get a third? I'm just curious, I should know the rule....

Been an okay game to watch so far. Like the broadcast crew. Looking forward to the second half....

I thought the status of a first challenge had no bearing on anything going forward, and the failure (or success) of a second challenge constitutes calling a time out (or not), i.e., you cannot use the 2nd challenge in a half after having used that half's time out.

Could be wrong. I think you're right about 2 successful challenges allowing a third one, though (pending the time out issue, I guess).

Well, Cgy's challenging again on that OOB pass. I guess we'll learn something here.

Listening on 1410 instead — did they mention anything about Cgy's challenge/time out status after the failed 2nd challenge? Caravatta says no more TOs for Cgy, which is what I thought.

Could not agree more. It's nice having a play-by-play guy actually calling the plays as they happen!
