Okay, dudes, I need your help.
My DVR decided to stop recording near the end of half-time, and I didn't notice until there was about five minutes in the game. I'm hoping someone can help me out with a recording of the game or of the second half.
Thanks.
Anyone record the Grey Cup 2011 game?

Re: Anyone record the Grey Cup 2011 game?
On the Monday after Grey Cup I tweeted to CFL on TSN if they were going to make a video of the game available for purchase, they told me they would look into it. I haven't heard anything since.
I did record the game on my Shaw PVR - but have no idea how to get it off of there (plus I haven't watched the whole thing yet to see what is missing, if anything). I know it started the recording at the announcement of the refs. Solar Max would be happy to know that it completely missed announcing Proulx as the ref, but cut in at the announcement of the sidejudges.

Now that I don't live in Quesnel do I need to change my handle??

Thanks. I wondered about TSN or the CFL selling a digital download. While I understand there's probably not a huge demand for a DVD/BD, a digital download would cost them next to nothing to offer.
Regarding the PVR, it may have to be re-recorded to another external device, via composite cables. My friend said that some PVRs have the 1394 enabled, and can be dumped to a computer, but I can't remember if that was some Shaw box, or something else.
I recorded most of the broadcast, and got all 5.5 hours of pre-game. Really sucks that it stopped recording, for no reason. It happened during one of the games with the Argonauts, too. It's usually fine.

tsn.ca also has the games on demand in their media player area.
There are utilities that you can install on your computer to record the game anew from that area or you can funnel it through your TV and record it that way as well.
