Well, I just hope the Argos OC does not come to his senses and starts using Boyd heavily vs us next week.

And Sol-E is just a dominating presence on the field, he has improved from his rookie campaign.

Argos were pathetic competition in their own crib, they need to suicide.

If Braley held a shred of credibility (he does'nt) he'd fire Barkers ass out the door tonight for his lame duck incompetence, but knowing Mr. B he looks tough and all business on the outside but he's really a cream puff willow on the inside

It seems the callers on the post game Lions show don't agree with you. One even made a joke when he called in like 'what we're not firing Wally.' The Barker coaching record and his dismal QBs were the talk of the show and the hosts and game announcers.

We must care as the state of that Argos franchise is key to the CFL growing and expanding and attracting more money, sponsors, media and fans. It was sad to here that they announced just over 19000 and we all know these things can get inflated when they are low.

If Toronto was one of the premier teams in the league like many years and that stadium full it is better for all teams.

I feel bad for David Braley because as much as we can be (and are) frustrated with the Lions and WB, David Braley will likely go down in history as doing more to keep this CFL alive than any other person. There are lots of wealthy guys like Jimmy Pattinson but they don't put their money into situations where they can't earn money or at least lose money and look like a huge hero like if you owned an NFL or EPL team.

I dont want the Lions to fall back to the same state as Argos are in and where it was before Bobby Ackles.

This game was ugly and the headline reads TORONTO –
"The best quarterback in the park Friday might have been Giulio Caravatta in the broadcast booth of the B.C. Lions, but thanks to a dominating defensive performance quarterback Travis Lulay and his mates got their return to work off in decent style Friday.
That's not good for the state of the Lions or the CFL.

If that was the headline in Toronto then I can see why they have such a poor turnout for their games, football baffles them. I thought Lulay played pretty well, but I guess he wasn't up to Toronto's NFL wannabe standards?

No! Believe it or not, that comment about the best quarterback in the park being Giulio Caravatta was Lowell Ullrich's. I realize he was trying to be funny, but it was a unfair jab at Travis who's pushing the ball downfield now with some success, and reading defenses much better (and more quickly). I'd still like to see him step up into the pocket when he feels pressure instead of constantly running to his right (maybe he doesn't trust his interior blockers so much?), and he has a tendency to toss some soft wobblers, particularly out to the flat which is a concern, but overall, he's a smart kid and good leader who's only going to get better.

Cleo Lemon complaining that Lulay gets cut more slack from the media is like Ricky Foley assuming Lions fans care enough about him being an Argo to boo him next week....DON'T FLATTER YOURSELVES!

Sorry but with all the interceptions from the D and kicking 5 FG means your O is not doing all that well. Against any other (better) team, a mere 10 point lead at one point in the 4th quarter could have meant disaster.
Considering the competition, Lions O wasn't all that great, D was good, Kick off team-not so much.

Yeah, CL is a full four years older than Lulay and was playing in the NFL while the latter was still in college. It's apples and oranges.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
