Agreed. Either would be better than Keron Williams and Dominie Pittman, but Foley's non-import status is a huge advantage.

Long term I like Mallett over Richardson because of the age difference, but now that Richardson has stopped fumbling, I am very happy with his running/receving. Plus imo he is the best blocker out of Lions 5 RBs.

Best case scenario is for Mallett to be on an NFL practice squad for a season, then return to the Lions.
