I also was at the pre season game & you are completely right about the freight train coming thru when you stomp the aluminum bleachers, definitely the loudest pre season game I've ever been to, louder than some regular season games at the dome what with all of the excitement in the crowd for the first game there. This will be the very first regular season game at the new Empire Field, where the ghosts of your fathers & your grandfathers sat. We need to bring that noise level to one that even the riders have never heard from a Lions crowd. I have my horn, my cowbell & my big bass drum & so do the rest of the fanatics on the goal line in the front row behind the Leo's bench, 10 lunatics in warpaint led by my 3 year old son Robbie screaming "go BC Lions go" every time our D hits the field. We have an opportunity to share something with our son's & daughter's that our father's once shared with us, from Stukas to Printers we're back full circle to where it all began. Let's make this game an event to remember against a team that just seems purrfect to give us memorable games ( right McCallum LOL). We'll be down front helping to cheer on the boys & also remembering the original "Donefron" cause he's the one who taught us how to cheer louder than anyone. Bring your cowbells, bring your drums, your horns & your voices but most of all bring your spirits cause this is gonna be a whole lotta fun.

So there it is; people really do live a in a place called Moose Jaw. Goods news for you is that the culture here is exactly the same; you probably won't even notice you have left home.DJ Rider MJ wrote:I am makin the trip from Moose Jaw SK to BC for the game on saturday! That being said. It is a new season and Riders showed adversity in the last game with the comeback after another 13th man call.. So it doesnt sting as bad.
PS I do realize that the 13th man jokes will not slow down until Riders win a Grey Cup.

Oh I'm sure that it will be sooner than that. I mean something like that will be forgot about after 15 years easy and that would give you at least a couple of years before your next Grey Cup win. I mean isn't it a law in Saskatchewan that the Riders are only allowed to win the cup once every two decades.DJ Rider MJ wrote:Oh I have heard that one.. May I just say that I find it funny whenever someone from Saskatchewan wants to talk about stereotypes.
And oh yeah, it's never sunny over here in BC. It rains all year long. We have no idea what the sun looks like.

Funny thing is from June 1 through September 30 Vancouver's climate is dryer than Regina's. According to The Weather Network Regina averages 215mm of precipitation through those 4 months compared to Vancouver's 187. In fact for those 4 months Vancouver boasts the least average precipitation in the CFL. From October on though we have issues.Lion_Pride_26 wrote:May I just say that I find it funny whenever someone from Saskatchewan wants to talk about stereotypes.
