Re: New CFL POOL
Good to see another pool online, but can anyone explain to me what the numbers under the picks mean?
For example, the spread in the B.C./Sask. game is 3.5 in favour of B.C.
And we can choose U (underdog win by any margin, F (favurite wins by less than the spread) and FC (favourite wins by more than the spread).
So far, so good.
But what the heck do the numbers under the U, F and FC mean?
The numbers are 13.5, 15 and 9.5.
Anyone know?

Scroll down more and they explain it.
Some mispelling may or may not occur as well as using a word incorrectly in my posts

Too bad the OP presumes that only male CFL fans would be interested in their pool.
I quote:
Just sayin.

I know what they mean, but they should be a little less exclusive. Notice how I didn't presume that the OP was male and used 'they' and 'their' instead of 'him' and 'his'.Who thinks he knows the league the most?

I did scroll down, but they don't explain it.
I understand picking favourite or underdog and against the spread at the far right, but nowhere does it say what the heck those three #s mean.
Unless I missed it, and I have pored over the page again and again to no avial.
Anyone?

Re: New CFL POOL
Unless the 13.5, 15 and 9.5 are points you get if your prediction of underdog, favourite under the spread and favourite over the spread is good.
If that's the case, then it makes sense.
But again, why such randomly weird numbers?
Why 9.5, 13.5 and 15? Why not keep it simple and go 3,2,1 for most difficult to least difficult prediction outcome?

Hi all,
1- Sorry about the mistake regarding gender! First language is French and these things happen, especially on the web. Of course we want female to participate in our pool. Sorry again.
2- Not sure why they use strange number. I ask the question to the pool software owner and I said that there would be to many tie at the end with 1, 2 and 3…
I know that risk will get more points than playing safe.
We will see what happen... lol

No worries, Versus, you didn't make a mistake. "He" is also used for gender neutral reference.Versus wrote:Sorry about the mistake regarding gender!
This CFL pool looks interesting! I'm glad there is something else I can do to spend more time on the CFL.

I'm stuck, too. I don't understand the F and FC. The instructions refer to "the spread shown", but I don't see a spread. I think I'll just watch and learn this time.Kamloops Lion wrote:Unless I missed it, and I have pored over the page again and again to no avial.
