I think I'm the only person that isn't totally in love with them. I prefer our 3rds more which I'm assuming won't be worn this year. Disappointing.

Don't worry NOJ ... they will be wearing the 3rds for the retro home game:

The Lions will sport the stylized, 1960s-era Reebok uniform on the road versus the Edmonton Eskimos on Thursday, July 16th and will wear their popular third jersey at their Retro home game versus the visiting Saskatchewan Roughriders on Friday, August 7th at BC Place

In fairness, there aren't too many 'away' uniforms that are preferred over 'home' ones. However, I think this one is 1,000x better than the current orange pants and white helmet road uni and it will look even better in person.

As for the 3rds, I guess you can say it's a 'pseudo-retro' look. The jerseys are '60's inspired, but with a modern twist - the yoke, the Falcon-esque sliver of white under the sleeves, and paw on the shoulder. They will be wearing this jersey with the new black pants and black helmets. I think the club wanted a totally retro home look, but it wasn't approved by the league. It's too bad. A home version of this new away uni would have looked awesome.

Bang on David...this is as close as it gets to the real deal and a sweet one at that. It's a shame they can't revise the Leos third/home jersey to be a reverse colour shceme of its away counter-part.

The sponsor logos are the reality of pro sports worldwide (most these days) and I guess we should be thankful for sponsors as you can never have too many of them especially the ones with deep pockets! I actually hadn't noticed the patches until it was pointed out but the poster is right - it is not the real retro.

The Lions have always had terrific uniforms (best in the CFL and I'd say in all of football) since their first year in 1954 so it is not a surprise that this one looks good. They didn't have a bad one to pick and they weren't in the league long enough to get those really out retros that are out there with teams like the Argos.

I also like that the Lions have never done what the Canucks sadly did and stray from the colours like they did with the Canuck halloween uniforms even when they had ownership issues some years back!

Zeus bless the sponsors and I thank them sincerely for their support of the CFL, but if those patches are on my retro jersey I'll stop at nothing - NOTHING, I TELL YOU! to get those off.

I was hoping for more. It seems that you would have to get a name put onto the back, because if you didn't it would look very plain. I can hardly wait until the 80's retros, now those are going to be great!

I'm gonna get one of these white jerseys. I love the whole kit. Even though i was always trying to get them to go back to the orange jerseys, i would be happy if they when with this whole uni fulltime. The only thing that i wouldnt like is that the usual logo is not on there. Don't get me wrong, the paw logo is cool, but i have always thought their regular logo is a timeless classic, and i also love the lion with his paw on the ball logo. I also think that if the latter was on this jersey somewhere it would be purrfect, but i guess that wouldn't be true to the era, since it wasn't on any jersey as far as i know.

The retro jerseys look pretty good for a retro jersey. I have never been a fan of retro and if retro is done I prefer when it gets more modernized (Lions black 3rd jersey, Canucks 3rd jersey). I am happy with my 3rd jersey, but at least they won't be an eye sore to look at.
