Sorry guys - one of the few times I have to go this way as we want that WSF at Mosaic.

I thought the Riders were done when down by 14 going into the 4th, but the Cardiac Kids pulled another one out of the hat tonight, assisted by that bizarre play choice of the fake punt on 3rd and 9 - thanks for the early Xmas present, Don!
lol, either way i dont think ANYONE is afraid of the riders, eeking out wins against the bottom feeders of the league. bishop was terrible. This marks the 5th lucky win for saskatchewan. Thats not inspiring for a 12-6 team
Umm, they didn't exactly 'eek out' a win last week. They destroyed Edmonton 55-9 at Mosaic. I don't know about you, but with that swirling wind, probable cold temperatures, and those nutty fans, I sure as hell wouldn't want to play there. Once they get some momentum, they're tough at home.

And by the way Vern Halen, you stole your fight song from our soccer team (who stole it from Chelsea FC), but you can't steal "Cardiac Kids" from us. That would be the 1977 BC Lions with Jerry Tagge. We own that term. But nice try!

Rammer - Nope - for SURE did not deserve the win, but I'll take it - a win is a win is a win. You may not be afraid of our offence, but teams should be afraid of our defence...

David - sorry - how about Kardiac Kids?

I know I know its a mistake but its still funny.
I noticed that as well, but have noticed all kinds of errors in TSN graphic displays all season long so wasn't the least bit surprised.

Regardless of the score the win was huge for Saskatchewan as it keeps their hopes alive for hosting the WSF. The Riders' defence has been fairly average on the road. In their first 4 road games they went 3-1 scoring 91 points while giving up 92. Since then then they've gone 2-3 scoring 119 points while surrendering 176, an average of 35.2 per game. Until the Argos decided to rollover and play dead and let the Riders rub their belly the Riders were on the verge of going 1-5 over their final 6 road games while giving up no fewer than 27 points in any of those games.

In their first 10 games the Riders gave up an average of 20.8 points at home and 24.6 on the road. Over the last 8 they've given up 24.75 at home and 36.25 on the road.

I like ours too - we're getting key guys back from injury at the right time. We've played pretty good in BC Place the last couple years...

And they never did seem to figure out that Ottawa's Rough Riders were the men that rode the logs down the river, through De Joachim, Deschenes, Chaudiere Falls.....

And Jerry Tagge? Who? 8)

Nebraska V. Oklahoma
Owen Field - Norman, Oklahoma
The Game Of The Century

"Husker quarterback Jerry Tagge threw to Rodgers, who broke tackles and ran all the way to the 15. Jeff Kinney then carried four times, the last resulting in his fourth touchdown of the game, and Nebraska led 35-31 with two minutes to go. Sacks of Mildren on third and fourth down in Sooner territory finished the game off as a Nebraska win."

Not to wax poetic about the past, but Jerry and the Cardiacs were about as much fun to watch as one can have football wise.

Unless you were an Ottawa fan then. Even considering that, it was super exciting to watch.

Not to mention Canada's team from Dallas(America's team) or Rider nation from the Raider Nation. Seems like more than Toronto has NFL envy! :tease:
