Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Hello . . . My name is Tiffany and I'm the CBC Radio person looking for the BC Lions super fan. Here are a few details of what we're looking for:
- The "face-off" between the Lions and Riders fan will take place at the CBC Studios (775 Cambie St., Vancouver) at 6:00 AM tomorrow morning.
- The segment will be about 5 or 6 mins long and will be pre-recorded and air at 7:20 AM.
- The lions fan will trash talk a guy known as the Rider Prophet. Apparently, he's well-known in Sask as a bit of a crazy guy. Here is his blog: http://karwandy.blogspot.com/
If you're not intimidated and think of yourself as a fan of simular or superior status as the Rider Prophet . . . or know someone that is . . . please let me know!
