And don't forget to pump that artificial noise through the speakers, I mean, there's no way that 55,000 people could possibly make that much noise is there?

Tickets are in the mail, according to BC Lions office......got my room reserved at the Sandman for Saturday night......I'm pumped and ready to rock with 50k plus crazy Lions fans!! It's a bonus for the Lions that the Canucks are sucking right now (even tho I'm a fan). I do hope Lions fans respect the Rider fans this time around, and just have a good time together as rivals (I know everyone here would agree).

Tarps coming off? I think Ballistic Bob mentioned earlier that the tarps will be off as some seats under the VideoScreen have been allocated to Rider fans. Can someone confirm that? Having 5000 or so green shirts contrasting with 55,000 orange shirts would look great

That's just Bob's annual running joke about the WF — the punch line being that there will be no highlights for the Rider fans to watch, so they may as well all sit together underneath (and back on to) the video screen, in the area normally tarped.

Mind you, the Riders still have to Stamp their ticket to this affair, so let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

The riders say that because they didn't know what a home playoff game sounds like but they will now know in a couple of weeks. So no more complaining from them.

So will Calgary complain about artificial noise or will the sound of 30,000 people's teeth chattering be able to drown out their signals? :?
