I already mentioned the conference championship banner in my posting. I guess what I need to clarify here is:yeah thats the conference champions banner!
"Exactly how many BC Lions banners are there? Six or Seven?"
If it's six, that would explain the five Grey Cup banners and one West Division Championship banner.
But if there's actually seven banners, then what does the seventh banner say?
The reason I thought there might be seven banners is because of the last picture that I posted, as well as those posted by C4L and Soundy. In the last picture that I posted, there appear to be four banners to the left of the screen, and three banners to the right. But in the C4L and Soundy pictures show the banners in groups of three, so there's still one banner unaccounted for. Unless when that picture was taken, there were actually four banners to the left and only two banners to the right, and then one banner was moved from the left to the right. As I stated in my last message, it's hard to tell in that picture whether there are actually two or three banners to the right of the screen.
Really - is that still the caseLFITQ wrote:There are 2 West Division Banners.
One on each side. I believe the one on the left of the screen goes up to 1994 and the one on the right goes to 2006.

I know that previously when the old white banners were used, there were two banners representing the West Division Championships.

When when they were replaced by the new orange banners, I believe the West Division Championship banners have been reduced to just one. As this picture indicates, all nine years that the Lions won the west appear on the single banner.

Thanks LFITQ. These two pictures by Soundy confirm that they did decide to split the single West Division Championship banner into two banners. So there are now a total of seven banners, four to the left of the screen and three to the right.LFITQ wrote:There are 2 West Division Banners.

I was noticing this last night too. There's room to add three more West Division seasons to the banner on the right and one more Grey Cup banner on the right. Shall we start with 2007?Robbie wrote:Thanks LFITQ. These two pictures by Soundy confirm that they did decide to split the single West Division Championship banner into two banners. The banners themselves look okay, although they could use some improvement, I gotta say that I hate where they're displayed. They just look so small up there. I wish we would hang them the way they do at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis which has the same kind of roof as BC Place.
That would be sweet...
