Ok so were not allowed to post here unless we use punctuation and capitals. Sorry sir, thought this was a sports website. Didnt know we would be marked or judged on our posts. What mark did i get again ? Was probably a D - hey........cromartie wrote:Does that mean you'll go away? Because, out there somewhere, is a grammar school keeping a seat warm for you.jlh2640 wrote:

Grammar school -- while admittedly a somewhat obselescent term -- doesn't mean what you think it means. Moreover, grammar has nothing to do with punctuation and capitals. But it is true to some extent -- as on other boards -- that people here could be judged on their posts, since many of us don't know one another personally and only have those posts to go by.jlh2640 wrote:Ok so were not allowed to post here unless we use punctuation and capitals. Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Guess this thread just died a horribly painful death.
Canada says he didn't say they were "dirty".
Canada says he didn't say they were "dirty".
And with that, the argument dies in the Leos favour!Van Sun wrote:Canada arrived in Vancouver with the rest of the Bombers Thursday

wishing to stir up another tempest.
"I never said they were 'dirty,' " Canada explained. "I never said

definitely say they're two tough offensive linemen."
Now that I don't live in Quesnel do I need to change my handle??
many of us also work and reply very quickly to threads as i dont have allot of time to be making sure everything makes sense as it should in the proper english dictionary, thesaurus or anything else that pertains to it. So judge as i post if you must, and obviously i understand its only human nature for someone to read something with bad grammar and punctuation and immediatley assume that the intelligance level of that person is lower, but really i dont come her to post to be marked and critiqued. And i could care less.sj-roc wrote:Grammar school -- while admittedly a somewhat obselescent term -- doesn't mean what you think it means. You came to this board to *poop* disturb. You have no purpose here otherwise. It isn't a Rider board. This isn't the home of Rider Nation. No one cares about Fred Perry unless it's in a game match up. Your posts reflect this through your mangled version of English, and this pathetic attempt at working-man sympathy. Your football knowledge is roughly the equivalent of the average fan. You've been put in your place by at least four different posters in this thread for various reasons, and yet you continue to waste time and bandwidth on incredibly weak arguments.jlh2640 wrote:many of us also work and reply very quickly to threads as i dont have allot of time to be making sure everything makes sense as it should in the proper english dictionary, thesaurus or anything else that pertains to it. There are no shortage of fans of other teams who can have a dignified discussion. Joshua. Terry. hgff. West Coast Blue Fan. Eskinator. Ravi. Just to name a few. They're also articulate and thoughtful - two traits you lack.
At least try Firefox, it comes with a spelling checker.

This article was more crappy writing than anything. The writer was trying to bait the Bombers big time.
If you ask any lineman if ANY opposing lineman is clean the answer can NEVER be "No". Lineman play dirty, that a simple fact. Some are dirtier than others, true, and that's all both Walls and Canada said. How they should be faulted for that, I don't know. Ask the BC lineman what they think of the Bomber lineman and they'll say the same thing, and they should.
WRs, RBs, QBs, DBs, they can be gentleman all they like, but it just doesn't happen with lineman, nor should it.

Again i really dont care what you think of me. i started a thread as a joke and yes it stirred the pot a little bit, but really why do these websites exist if you cannot have friendly arguments regardless of " who tells who off, or who shuts me down " ? But realistically you sit there and tell me football knowledge is average and it makes me laugh because really you dont know who i am and i dont know who you are. For you to make a silly comment like shows me one you a very ignorant person and 2 you are a very arrogant person.cromartie wrote:jlh2640 wrote:many of us also work and reply very quickly to threads as i dont have allot of time to be making sure everything makes sense as it should in the proper english dictionary, thesaurus or anything else that pertains to it. good luck in the season and Enjoy having a kicker who looks like he has down syndrome.

Why do so many posts from unhappy Saskatchewan fans seem to have some snide remark about a player who just didn't want to play in Regina anymore?
Your team is tied for first place, who CARES that McCallum isn't a 'Rider any more? He won a Grey Cup here, and he's part of a very good club; why not let (and for other Sask fans, the Burris thing) it go?

Jimenez and Murphy
I really love it when someone who has absoultely NO BALLS talks stuff on line. You see, the only real fact about these two tackles is that they are paid to kick the asses of defensive linemen and linebackers....guess what, that's EXACTLY what they do!! You NEVER hear this much talk about offensive linemen....you do now!!! When it is all said and done, one was the CFL Lineman of Year, the other very easily could have been.....anyone on the Riders offensive line even known outside of Sask? In the end, Jimenez and Murphy will continue to dominate the league, and every other team will keep whining about how dirty they are...for us Lions fans, very simply we have the best tackles in the league and we really don't give a crap about any other linemen in the league. The funny thing is, one of these guys could very easily end up on YOUR team someday...I will bet that if that day EVER comes (and I hope it dosen't cause I would love to see the both of them play another year or two for the Lions) you WILL feel differently. And one other point...your boy Perry has to face us a couple more times this season...look out!!
