Re: Manny's Empire Leap was for Mom - Mike Beamish
I have no problem with his celebration!!! Back in the mid 50's, sitting in the cold wet bleachers of Empire Stadium, when the new Lions were trying to get it going...we would cheer first downs!!! As the TD's were not coming. Ahh those were the days.

Re: TSN The Rouge: Should Buono step down as Lions' head coa
I agree with Dunnigan..there is no current (quality) replacement out there. He has brought in talented players, that do so well, they bounce to the NFL. Getting rid of Shivers is not the answer, as he has a proven ability of finding diamonds in the ruff.

Re: Paris' stupid celebration
I don't know if it was mentioned anywhere else, but did anyuone notice as Paris running into the endzone the swing that 33 took at him?
Why was that not an objectionable conduct penalty tacked on to the kickoff?
I think Anderson was just swinging his arm in disgust at himself and his teammates ...

Re: Paris' stupid celebration
Personally, have nothing against a TD celebration..as long as it is unique. Geroy's superman pose is quick, to the point, and is synomonous with Geroy..no one else. However..PJ should come up with something that is unique to him..he would look pretty silly doing it against another franchise other ...

Re: Paris' stupid celebration
I agree 100% with Kamloops Lion. Jackson's idiotic TD celebration made me cringe.
I thought the same thing when I saw him do his "stupic" horsey move! I said to those around me, he did the same thing in Calgary, ..the Stamps will come back and win. It really does look stupid. So who had the last ...

I second this..2 Canadians sharing punting and kicking duties..other teams do it!JohnHenry wrote:Sean Whyte still seems like a work in progress to me. Since we are paying both salaries, why not dress both and have them share the duties? Not sure if PM would like that...but for the good of the team??

Re: Six Candidates for Eskimos Head Coach
You can add Rick Campbell to the list of 6. He has stated he wants a chance. Hmmmmm...a good move for the rest of the teams, as he is a clone of the gnome...coaching wise!!!

Not sure who Adrian Smith is..however..the West is the Best!!!! Calgary all the way, and I suspect Bobby Ackles is cheering for the Stamps...Western Conference Solidarity!!!!!!!
Adrian Smith is a former defensive back with the Toronto Argos. He has 3 Grey Cup rings to his credit.
Thanks Lion ...

Re: Who will you cheer for in the Grey Cup?
AC has had 5 chances, this is his 6th. He has a grey cup ring. This is Scott Ackles first trip to the GC as president of the Stamps....so who do you think Bobby's cheering for???No Ordinary Joe wrote:Montreal. AC is a class guy that deserves a ring after all the pain and suffering he's had to go through.

Well Dan, I wouldn't say the whole country, as so many Saskatchewanites (is that even right?) live outside that province, and are spread throughout. But you have to hand it to them as far as their undying, ardent support for their team, even after been transplanted from their home province.
