Thank goodness Chris Jones waited so long to give the #1 job to Tre Ford.
For the 2nd straight year we have an impact Canadian born QB which is fantastic to see.
Big win for the much improved Elks at Mosiac tonight.
Next week at Commonwealth will be anything but a cakewalk for our Lions.

Tre Ford is a wild card. His passing numbers are so so, but man can the kid run. He's so fast that sometimes when they use a LB to spy him, he can still out run the LB. If he can get improve his passing game, look out. Chris Jones should lose his job for waiting so long to put Ford in.

Hard to guess how those decisions came to be. With Jones wearing so many hats he had to be trusting his long time sidekick OC Stephen McAdoo for input in the QB decisions. It's no small coincidence that the switch came when Jones demoted McAdoo and promoted Jackson to be OC.almo89 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 10:53 pmTre Ford is a wild card. Also it could be simply that it's taken Ford a good chunk of this season to grasp all the things necessary to be successful in practice thus in games. There were rumblings earlier in the year that he was struggling with that while about the time he did get his first start he admitted that things were finally starting to slow down for him. If true then having him continue to work on his game in practice vs throwing him to the wolves ready or not may have been the prudent thing to do.
You're as old as you've ever been and as young as you're ever going to be.
