How do you declare a game over when the lead is only 7 points and there is an entire quarter left to be played?

New rule, apparently borrowed from baseball. If they've played half of the third quarter and the game is delayed more than an hour due to weather, the game is called and it goes into the books. But I wonder if it hasn't reached that point and they have to call the game, do they replay it from the beginning like they do in baseball?
It makes sense for player safety not to force the players to warm up again after a long delay but it’s a tough break for a Montreal team that had played well defensively but gave up two touchdowns to the Saskatchewan defence. No one is doing anything to help the Lions get back in the playoff race.

Wow, what a finish. Montreal scores 11 points in the final couple of minutes to tie the game at 28. In the first overtime, both teams score a touchdown but failed on the 2 point conversion(34-34). In the 2nd overtime, Montreal had a receiver wide opened in the end zone but the pass hit the goal post but a roughing the passer gave the Als a first down and they capitalized. The two point conversion was successful meaning Calgary has to match. On the final play, Rogers scored what appeared to be a touchdown but a video review indicate that his left toe was out of bounds. First win for Montreal in Calgary in 10 years. Both teams had a combined offence of over 1000 yards.

Montreal comes back to win 40 to 34 in overtime. Great comeback win for the Als and good for the league.

Montreal is looking pretty good with Khari Jones as HC and Vernon Adams today.... Not a great result if we'd ever be in a position to cross over but it was a nice result for the Als.
