Yes. Neither am I much of a baseball fan. A little bit in October. But I like to bring some varied topics to this board. Jeter is news. And in view of all the bad publicity athletes bring these days, for me, Jeter Is good news. Overkill? Well I didn't see much or any of it on TV. Newspapers, Yes.
For how he played, and how he carried himself, I do not mind giving him some recognition.

Nah, Jessica Biel was a bigger achievement.

Does anyone know if in fact #DerekJeter is retiring? Hit me up if you have any information, cuz i can't find anything about it in the media

Jessica Biel. Yes. One model and starlet afer another, I gather from Cam Cole's article, for Mr. Jeter. No scandals, though.
Bill Maher. Yeah. He will have a say.
Where do people get their news? I read or scan a few papers. The Washington Post, the New York Times, some Canadian papers, CNN online. Some others. I didn't personally feel overwhelmed with news about Jeter, but then I don't watch talk shows, or listen to sports talk shows. Nor even late night talk shows. That would certainly give me an overwhelmed feeling.
So Jeter is about gone. No regrets giving him a little recognition here.
