I saud it last week I'll say it again ..... snatching defeat from the jaws of Victory
it's a good thing the season is a war on not just 2 or 3 battles ... this team is better than this

Good idea, guys. Let's post our angry thoughts immediately after a loss instead of just cooling off and waiting a while to post our thoughts.
Oh fantastic-one more person telling us how, when and what to post! Leave off, will you? You're entitled to tell us what to say and when to say it and I'm entitled to ignore your opinion and say what I want anyway. Deal?Lion_Pride_26 wrote:Good idea, guys. Where is the hot read when we are on the border of field goal range?
Lulay was swarmed. No outlet pass available.
I will not put this on Lulay. He has guts and talent and not much support.
Did his receivers play great? No.
Did the running game help him? No.
But I will put this game on the offence. We did not have a good enough game plan.
We scored a TD on a pick.
We scored a TD on a return.
No offence, but we had no offence.
Lions vs Eskimos was the Loser Bowl. And we lost. Ughhhhhh

What...our comments get better with age? I've got better things to spend my money on.Lion_Pride_26 wrote:Good idea, guys. Let's post our angry thoughts immediately after a loss instead of just cooling off and waiting a while to post our thoughts.

Edmonton 360 yards passing
134 yards rushing on 22 attempts
B.C. 134 yards passing
Robertson 84 yards rushing on 8 attempts (one long one of 69) ... 15 yards on 7 attempts otherwise
Lulay 62 yards rushing
...........
Ricky Ray lit us up, which is no surprise. He has frequently done that.
.........
Our offensive game plan was inadequate to help our young QB. Not enough running plays. Not enough screen passes, draws, swing passes, hitch passes, et cetera.
Not enough hot reads. Not enough anti-blitz adjustments.
..........
bye bye Robert Jordan ... although you were the apple of Wally's eye, eventually he could not justify keeping you on the team. I expect his coaches were leaning on him hard to make the change.

Man those were two very bad footballs teams tonight.
I only saw one good player tonight for either team. Cory Banks. Good for you Corey, great effort. Too bad the rest sucked. #47, wow... left me shaking my head.

I'll be the first to offer an apology to Davis Sanchez. Leaves the defending Grey Cup champion and takes a paycut to play for his hometown team and has been lights out (despite no help from an inept safety). Too bad he didn't get to see the Lions playbook before making his decision.
I will give him offensive and defensive player of the game tonight.

and 44 had a decent first outing too IMO.Lionheart wrote:Man those were two very bad footballs teams tonight.
