Some guys doing Journey with a smattering of Metallica thrown in? Not weird. Lame, if mildly entertaining. Mind you, I can never hear this song anymore without visualizing the Sopranos final scene. It was the guy in the Members Only jacket, right?
I don't know what you guys are talking about. This is just flat out awesome and hilarious. A purrfect sendup of 80's/90's music and metal videos. Doesn't have anything to do with football? Please. This is a touchdown of entertainment.

In the same vein, there's Beatallica, a Beatles-Metallica mashup band. Even their stage names are mashups of names of both bands' members:
Jaymz Lennfield
Grg Hammetson
Kliff McBurtney
Ringo Larz
The Thing That Should Not Let It Be

Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
