A few interesting storylines will be played out tonight as the Lions look for a much improved performance over last week in Regina, especially on offence.

Starting quarterback:
If the regular season started tomorrow, Wally must surely know which QB he would be going with but tonight's game will apparently go a long way to determining next week's starter.
This time Buck will start the first half and Jarious the second with Champion mopping up at the end of each half. If Buck is going to be the No. 1 QB a fast start tonight is imperative.

Outside linebacker
Wally is saying there is only room on the roster for two import linebackers and Otis Floyd is a lock for one of them. That leaves Jamal Johnson fending off Tim Goodwell for the other starting spot. This could be the one big surprise on final cutdown day if Goodwell plays well tonight.

Dave Dickenson
The return of DD. Unsure of the Stamps QB rotation tonight and how much he will even play given he is a lock for No. 2. Will be interesting to see where he attacks the B.C. secondary given all those years seeing the same DBs at practice.
But there should be plenty of vanilla looks from both teams given they see each other again for real 7 days from now.

Not much is being said in the media of the return of DD alright. I wonder what if any response his play will invoke from the crowd tonight.

Seems as if both sides are looking at only a couple spots that are open on the roster, should be good for the fans tonight. Much better than watching the first pre-season games that we have been subjected to for the past two pre-season games.

I won't be surprised if JJ comes out and has a great half himself and we are right back were we were at 7PM pacific in terms of who should be #1.

I get the sense the Wally is more concerned with letting BP and JJ fight for the starting job than he is in giving Zac game reps. I thought Zac would have played the last couple of series in the first half.

Buck was 13 for 17, 187 yards. It's JJ's turn now. Sounds like Logan is at TB.
