Toronto – At a festival launch party held this evening at Ultra Supper Club in downtown Toronto , the 2007 Grey Cup organizers announced details of the four day Grey Cup Festival leading up to the Grey Cup Championship on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Rogers Centre. With a size and scope like none before, the festival brings together music, events, comedy and street parties. Rick Brace, President, CTV Inc. and Chairman of Grey Cup 2007, confirmed that tickets in the upper level are sold out and less than 5,000 tickets remain available to the game.
New CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon announced that the Grey Cup Festival would be concentrated in the downtown core of Toronto running from Spadina Ave. east to Bay Street and from Nathan Phillips Square south to Lake Ontario (please see map). The majority of festival events will take place within these borders. The area will be decorated with Grey Cup themed signage, creating a championship “villageâ€
