Re: Montreal vs lions semi final ticket count
Montreal hasn't sold out one game all year, and that's with separate Ben Cahoon and Anthony Calvillo jersey retirement days.

Yes, things are grim...but I still like our chances in Montreal, next week. Would rather face the Als than a VERY strong Eskimo team.

Ugly...ugly...ugly! :bang: When Kito Poblah is your leading receiver, you know things didn't go that well. One 1st down in the first half...unimaginative / dull play calling by the OC, terrible execution by the offense in general....the leagues player of the month (E. Jackson) shutout...Gore and Arc...

Re: Dave Naylor, TSN: Toronto is not a football town
Back to the question of Toronto not being a football town - my son and I attended the 2012 Grey Cup , a pretty big event considering that: A) The league was celebrating the 100th Grey Cup and: B) The home town Argos were IN the game. On the Wednesday evening before the game, a waitress at a pub just...

Desperate times call for desperate measures, but starting a 41 year old QB who has had only one week of practice is a head shaker.

Re: Bombers and Coach O'Shea
Today's game could get ugly, early. With questions at QB and RB (among other positions) the Bombers do not look like a team that will be ready to compete against the strong (and rested) Stamps.

Re: All things Lions Marketing/Promotions 2014
Update on Saturday's game from earlier today via NEWS1130: News1130 Sports @News1130Sports Buono also says the team expecting the biggest crowd of the season when they play Ottawa. Not bad with #Canucks at home on the same night. House will likely be heavily papered with "Guaranteed Win" ...

The check down play on 2nd and long is driving me crazy. Hey Khari...when it's 2nd and 10, have at least one receiver run an 11 yard pattern.
PS: I think I miss Chappy.

Re: Lions 7 - RedBlacks 5 -- Post Game Stats and Comments
For you trivia fans, Henry Burris has yet to throw a touchdown at home this year. Mind you he hasn't thrown too many on the road either. In Smilin' Hank's defense, if tonight was reflective of the Red Blacks' season, it's hard to throw TD passes when your receivers don't even look like they can cat...

Looking at this game from bad to worse...........
The BAD was this had to be one of the worst football games I have seen in 45 years of watching football.
The WORSE news is that losing Lulay was sad and painful to see

Re: TiCats to decide whether to open stadium early
Number 1 rule at stadium giveaways (* not that we would know what that's like at B.C Place) Never give something away that you can later toss onto the field (like after Hamilton's 1st TD).

Re: All things Lions Marketing/Promotions 2015
This is a nearly month-old post I'm responding to, but the most recent one I could find referencing Operation Orange. With only nine days before the game in Ott it seems seats still remain (at least there's no indication of a sellout on their website). I wonder if this thing is running out of steam...

They are also healthy - which hasn't always been the case over the past couple of years.TheLionKing wrote:No doubt that Elimimian and Bighill are having outstanding years. Coincidence ? I think not.

Re: CFL Games, Aug 12 to Aug 17 and Lions Depth Chart
The Argos will always be on the short end of the schedule stick as long as they remain in the Rogers Centre. The good news for their fans (and all of the CFL) is that they they'll be out of that mausoleum in another 3 years. Until then, the terrible schedule (and crowds) are destined to continue.
