Eastern dominance?

Ok... perhaps dominance is a bit of an overstatement.
But does anyone agree with my general premise? I'm 52 and my first football memory is when I'm about 4, I'm sitting on my Mom's knee and I ask her, "why do they all keep falling down?" After that, it's probably '78 season I first recall.
So since that time, excluding all "Winnipeg is in the east" years, I can't remember another season with such a strong Eastern division. Sure there were some Montreal dominance years, but the rest of the east were pretty weak.
This year, all except Hamilton are pretty good teams. E vs. W Is 9-2 if you don't count Hamilton. 9-6 with Hamilton.
I can't recall another year where you could say that. I mean the league adopted the cross-over playoff qualification rule because the western teams were tired of a 6-10 Eastern team making the playoffs.
Lots of year and games left, so this post could age poorly.
But after watching the Ottawa / Calgary game tonight, it just kinda struck me that I'd seen a lot of EvW wins this year.
All in all, I'd say this is a good thing for the league. It's not good to have 4 of the top 5 teams be Winnipeg west.
My 2 cents...
