R.I.P. O. J. Simpson (July 9, 1947 – April 10, 2024)

Despite his fine NFL career with lots of awards, he never won the elusive Super Bowl.

And unfortunately he will never be remember by his football achievements including his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction:

And instead, he will always be remembered by his off-field personal life:

While he was acquitted in the criminal trial, he was found liable for the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in a civil suit from the victims' families and was forced to pay $33.5 million but he paid very little of it. I'm not sure how other countries work but I wonder if such verdicts also work in other countries in which one can be found not guilty in a criminal trial but found guilty in a civil trial. And the fact that an acquittal in a criminal trial doesn't serve as evidence in a civil trial.

But he did spend 9 years in prison for armed robbery and kidnapping.

Adding a poll on the most debated question about him.
