I don't think it was a cap decision. The Lions still dress 46 just like everyone else. Kraemar wouldn't be making anything more than whomever got his spot on the roster.

No, the Lions dress 45. The league allows that if they only dress two QBs. Other teams have done it on occasion but not for a full season.

Jarious Jackson got a reprieve against worse teams than us. He was, is and always will be a horrid OC. The sooner we cut this incompetent boob the better.

Well for sure they save money by keeping Kraemar around for $750/week (plus housing) instead of a minimum active roster salary of $55K.

And there’s no net cost to the Lions because he is taking a practice roster spot that would otherwise go to another player.
