Geroy's return to BC Place

Return of Korey Sheets

Another big test for Thomas DeMarco

Big crowd expected. Should be loud tonight (wish the Lions close the roof to make it even louder)

Biggest home game and biggest crowd of the year. It's always a great atmosphere when the Riders come to town.

Two teams are going in opposite directions. The Riders have a chance to get back on track with the return of Kory Sheets. The B.C. defence is getting better all the time. It will be a great matchup.

Forecast calls for 13C falling to 12C by game's end with 30% POP throughout. The roof was open last year for one game in Oct under similar (IIRC) conditions so there is precedent.

make sure we drown out those greenies when our team takes the field! and dont fall victim to rider fans chanting "lets go riders" when our lions have the ball! :)

I wonder if Sheets is 100% or is he being rushed back early because the Riders are desperate.

Hope the Lions frame of mind is not "Can't be denied"...not "Won't be denied"...but, instead, "DON'T BE DENIED!"

The defense is rolling...the crowd will be roarin'...all the ingredients for optimum adrenalin will be there...I have faith in DeMarco, too...He proved himself at their place, and I believe he's gonna be on fire at home tonight...it would be kind of cool (and maybe really effective) if he had a few keepers tonight, as last time it appeared he may have had room to run on some of the balls he gave to Harris...I don't see the Riders coming out of this one alive...Anyone who thinks they will, is just "Full of Sheets" :roar:

Been looking forward to this game (and really the stretch drive) even since it became apparent in late July how big these games would be. A win tonight goes a long way towards locking up no worse than 2nd place.

Lions defence has been absolutely massive the past couple of weeks. Will need another huge effort tonight but hopefully the offence will be able to provide more for Demarco's 3rd start.

Drop down to the line "October 4, 2013 vs Saskatchewan: depth chart and alpha-numeric roster" and click on that.

Myddelton shown ahead of Valli; Korey Williams ahead of Taylor in the slot. Sheets is penciled in to start at tailback for the Riders.

Yes, I noticed this earlier in the week how Myddleton is takiing Valli's left guard spot. Not sure if it's injury or performance (I have a hunch it's the latter). The club has been rather quiet about this, probably out of respect for Dean. Thing is, his feet are kind of slow, but I would put a glaring spotlight on him this year (other than the dumb penalties which he's always been guilty of). Myddleton gave up a much more egregious sack last week in Winnipeg. He was absolutely turnstiled and nearly got Buck decapitated.

Roof closed because of "low temperatures?" WTF?? Does this mean that for a $563MM reno, they're only going to keep the roof open 'til Labour Day?

I just found out this info via an email from a friend of mine, and I completely agree with her!
I just emailed the Lions to say I completely disagree with their decision to have the roof closed tonight just b/c of low temperatures. Told them I think it should ONLY be closed if raining and that I hoped enough others, who felt the same, would let them know so they might reconsider their decision for tonight and every other game when it's not raining. Wally must have had a say in this choice!

This directly contradicts what Skulky told us in TEAM1040 interview earlier in the year in which he said they'd only close the roof if it's raining which I am fine with. This has Wally's superstitious and set-in-his-ways thumb prints all over it and Skulsky doesn't have the balls to go against him.

Is there that much difference in the roof being open? I guess that it comes down to the new open roof not meeting my expectations, as good as it once sounded.
