where are the Lions staying this week - home or hotel?

Does anyone know what Wally has decided?
You would tend to think the Lions players and staff would be allowed to stay at home this week and enjoy another benefit of a hometown championship.
Then again, huddling up together in the posh western division team hotel might bring a sense of unity and a business trip mentality - plus easy access to practice.

I think I read that Wally has them in a hotel from Wednesday on. No curfew - he wants to them to soak in the experience and hasn't imposed one yet so why start now - just the honour system. But you can be sure the coaches or somebody will be in the lobby checking to make sure no one strolls in at 2:00am Friday night or Saturday night.

I almost think they'd be better staying just outside the downtown core Saturday. It's going to be quieter for one - you're not going to hear Grey Cup revellers etc. Fewer distractions.

If this game were anywhere but here or if it were any team but the Lions, they'd be in a hotel, so it only makes sense to do so in this case IMHO. Didn't we even do this once already this year during the regular season? Or maybe I'm thinking of last year. At any rate, it's not an uncommon teambuilding tactic for a team on the eve of a critical home game.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

3X already this year by my count, including the last home game (WDF).

I believe the league has booked hotels for the western and eastern teams. The Bombers arrived earlier this evening.

Yes, they will be at a hotel. They have the choice as to when they check in, but I believe by Thursday everyone must be checked in. Does anyone know if the league has any rules or guidelines pertaining to this? Since the league handles all these logistics in any case and the bookings are already done, does a local team playing in the Grey Cup actually get to chose?

Either way, it would be unforeseen for a team not to check in to a hotel anyways, but I was just wondering.

I believe either the league or the Grey Cup committee makes those decisions almost a year in advance of the event, so I can't see the team being able to rebook the requisite number of rooms at the last minute.
