Don't need Mallett.
Could use Rickey Foley Big Time. He's a terrific player, with a non-stop motor. And he is NI status.
Don't want RGM. IMO ...
Could use Lumbala as blocking back and ST only. Please. No short yardage Lumbering. No matter what Talent Scout Christie Buono says, or what Wally's Ouija Board says.

Lumbala would be Lion property........a NI asset that we could include in a trade with Calgary for Jesse Newman.

Long term I like Mallett over Richardson because of the age difference, but now that Richardson has stopped fumbling, I am very happy with his running/receving. Plus imo he is the best blocker out of Lions 5 RBs.
Best case scenario is for Mallett to be on an NFL practice squad for a season, then return to the Lions.
