What a Sicko!

I was watching the aftermath of the NFL Draft. There is a Tight End named Scott Sicko. He said if he was not drafted, he would walk away from football. Well, he went undrafted, but the Dallas Cowboys among other teams contacted Sicko and offered him a tryout. The Cowboys owner actually told Sicko he would probably make the roster because they needed depth at Tight End and he might develop into a great player. The guy was so upset that he went undrafted, he walked away from the game.

I am thinking the Lions should contact this guy. Granted he seems like a bit of a head case, but guys like this get soured on the NFL' s scouting and drafting process. What if he got the "Fresh Start" speech from a league that would gladly let him test his skills? If the guy is good enough for Dallas, he might be a good player slipping though the cracks.

-Just a though...

p.s. - cant wait to see the Lions in person when I come up in August!

I'm guessing that's prob an eastern Euro/Slavic type of name there, perhaps pronounced sich-ko or sits-ko?

Anyway, just got a bunch of headlines from google that all say he signed with Dallas after all :S

What is Chapdelaine going to do with a TE?

Sicko is interesting because he didn't go to the combine, but his pro day numbers put him in the top 10 for TEs at lots of the important measurables. If you are 6-4 250 with good speed and good hands, teams will be patient.
