Seems like the Lion with the most heart won't return to the den. I am sure that he will be available if some of the new recruits fail, but I would like to say best of luck Mr. Anderson.

x2. The writing was on the wall with all the young talent available this year but I'd like to know who'll be the Lions' emergency kicker and punter if PM goes down. I can't imagine them keeping Sean Whyte on the active roster just for that purpose.

It is Bret Anderson's time to move on. Casey Printers called him the "Big Easy." And that he was. Is your kicker injured? Call 911. And Ole Number 8 will hit all his field goal attempts for you. Need a receiver? Bret to the Rescue. Short of QBs? Bret can do it.

One of the great utility men of all time.

Seeking no attention, he was somewhat easy to overlook. Wally Buono says he never realized how valuable Anderson was until he got to coach him here in B.C.

Working for the Fire Department is just about right for this guy. Who would you rather entrust that job to?

Best wishes, Bret, and thanks for all the memories.

He will be missed.

But consider he came out of retirement once before, then never say never!
