Weather Network says Saturday Low of Minus 14 and High of Minus 5.

A cold front comes in Thursday and temperatures plunge Friday. Interestingly it's Plus 10 in Regina today.

But Saturday will be sunny and dry and cold. And no wind.

It will be a fine day for a football game.

Are you ready for some smash mouth football???

5 day forecasts are notoriously inaccurate especially on the prairies...

but they're saying cold and dry and calm winds

usually when a cold front blows through the winds die down

Dave Ridgeway kicked a 60 yard FG in Regina but I understand it was windy

not sure if it was noisy too

Look at the stuff this guy writes. He loves stirring the pot with well worn, yet 100% reliable topics.

Pretty close to the same conditions the Lions won the 2006 Grey Cup in. Quite ideal conditions for November prairie football.

It's been around +14 here in Brandon today which I'm led to believe is about 10 degrees above normal for early in November.

Both teams have to play in the same conditions so no biggie . It's not like just being a home team automatically makes on team better at playing in cold then the visiting team . The colder conditions are just recent development for the Riders too . It's not like it's that cold all year in Regina and they get their players from alot of the same places we get ours from , the USA . And that makes for a wide variety of experiences for both teams . I recall BC winning the WDF in '94 vs the "cold weather" Stamps in the snow . In fact BC's won lots of road games in the snow over the years .

A plus for BC in that weather ; we got a kicker who's more used to those conditions then the Riders do.

Congi has been in Regina for a couple of seasons so he should be accustomed kicking in the wind.

Look at that 55 yarder that he bounced off the crossbar vs. Edm - lmao.

Like the old saying goes, you have to be good to be lucky and lucky to be good.

McCallum will have no problems Saturday.
