Regina Weather for Saturday's Game

High of 20, sunny with some cloud and winds up to 30KM.

Glad that McCallum is use to these wind conditions, it may become a huge factor in the game. A late game should mean the 4th quarter will see less wind than the first three, so even the coin toss is important.

Not too worried about McCallum. Lets see how Buck does. The odd long bomb could be affected.

Lows of 8, dress warm, once that sun goes down it changes drastically.

PS, wear orange though!

Oh that's a given! I'll be sporting my orange Pierce jersey and my Lions jester hat. For later, I'll slip my Lions fleece jacket underneath the jersey. I'll be here:

Thanks for the weather and fashion report, Rammer.

Agree that McCallum's experience kicking in the windy conditions of Taylor Field could be a huge factor in this game.

In conditions like this, the opening coin toss could also be a factor. Winning the toss would allow the Lions to have the wind at their backs in the fourth quarter. Hopefully for the Lions, they won't have to rely on a late FG attempt. :cr:

And you better believe that the Riders are going to be UP for this game with the passing of Ron Lancaster. Can't wait to be there.

We will need to come out fast and control them. They will be jacked and want to win for Lancaster a Rider hero. The weather and wind is usually a factor there. McCallum is used to it and should be ok. Our O and D lines will decide the outcome in my opinion.

I'm sure Lancaster's tribute will touch a lot of fans in the stands on Saturday but I'm not sure any of the players are old enough to remember his playing days. Gene Makowski might come the closest but he was only 5 when Lancaster played his last game in 1978.

I just hope there are no Thunderstorms. IIRC, a few Rider home games have had 'electrical disturbances' requiring a halt to the game for player safety. Obvious, I don't want two football teams with metal helmets standing around in a possible 'lighting' weather pattern.

I know the Riders don't have anything to do with this. I have to give them credit. They have seemed to come out of these stormbreaks better than their opponents.

I would like to see the Lions run a set or two with Jarious as a wideout. Hitch screen to him and he throws it to Paris or even better, Lyle Green on a wheel route.

West Virginia did this last night and would have worked to perfection if the #3 QB who was flanked out didn't throw such a lousy pass. Remember, the Seahawks were planning to run Seneca Wallace at wide receiver, till he injured himself in warm-ups.
