Some stats from a very satisfying game ...

Name CP/AT YDS TD INT

J. JACKSON 19/24 340 5 1

I am very happy for Jarious. He is the ultimate good soldier. When he is relaxed and in the rhythm of the game, he is all you could hope for in a QB.

RECEIVING

Name REC YDS TD LG

G. SIMON 7 192 2 76

Geroy explodes, as he is inclined to do.

J. CLERMONT 3 71 0 36

The warrior who shows the way.

P. JACKSON 3 30 0 18

Very steady.

C. RODGERS 3 25 0 11

Starting to contribute each game.

C. COLEMAN 2 21 2 12

He is going to be a very good player for us.

RUSHING

Name ATT YDS TD LG

S. LOGAN 18 140 0 66

Pretty much as advertised. A major CFL-style weapon.

DEFENCE

Name TKL SK INT FF

J. GLATT 6 0 2 0

Javy just makes a lot of plays. Always around the ball.

O. FLOYD 6 0 0 0

A healthy Otis makes for a tough D.

C. WAKE 3 2 0 0

The sack master is doing it again.

B. MILES 3 0 1 0

Congratulations on tying the record.

.........................

I think it would be a mistake to deliberately "try to win the game" for Bob Ackles. And yet, when you look back on the victory tonight, the motivation was very evident. Pride and professionalism. Just as Bob Ackles would want it to be.

Wally was at his best this week. Calm. No panic. Seeing the big picture. Dealing with all the emotional issues at hand. Bob Ackles. Rob Murphy's situation. Jason Jimenez' situation. An 0 and 2 record for an anticipated Cup contender. And Wally handled it all wonderfully. With great perspective. With great patience. I'm proud of you, Wally, and how you represent all of us.

Jarious Jackson showed why Wally and the players believe in him. He is the soldier you want beside you in battle. All he ever has to do is be relaxed and play in the rhythm of the game.

A great debut for Stefan Logan. He brings one more dimension to what we can do on offense.

As he is always ready to do, Geroy has a monster game.

Clermont is, as Chris Schultz says: "the toughest player in the CFL." He really sets the tone for the team.

The O Line played hard. Walter Stith is very reliable. Dean Valli has arrived as a player.

Cam Wake, Tyrone Williams ... monster games.

Javy Glatt made a ton of plays. Otis looks like he is in All-Star form and health.

The DBs were very good. I think Mike Benevides is building a helluva defense.

We really kept Charles Roberts in check. 8 carries for 23 yards. Ryan Dinwiddie looks like he can play. Another team with a QB controversy?

Somewhere upstairs Bob Ackles will be looking down with satisfaction and pride at the team he loves.

Well said. Bob would be proud of the professionalism and effort shown tonight, and all week.

I thought that tonight's performance was truly inspired, considering everything that has happened in the last week. Great game for Jarious, Geroy, Javy, Cam, and many others. This looked alot more like the team we all expected to see this season. I know that it is only one game but it definately was a good confidence builder for an experinced team and maybe even more importantly for Jarious's confidence.

The real Lions finally showed up tonight ! Jackson was unbelievable tonight. After dropping a sure touchdown, Geroy came back with a vengeance. Clermont took an awesome hit. There should have been a penalty on the play for leading with his helmet. The official was standing right there. :x

Great recap WC Joe and outstanding comment on Wally. He is the face of this franchise more now than ever before and he has handled these extremely trying days superbly.

Has there been a tougher player than Clermont?
That has to be the 12th such hit I have seen him take, after all of which he held onto the ball and got up.
Phenomenal.

You have been so right about him feeling his rhythm and his pride, that this game was all he needed.

BP was his biggest admirer tonight. We so needed so to win this game, and we are all of us the more unified because of it.

Somewhere Bobby is having a cold one with Jacky tonight!

To Lion faithful everywhere and of course the greatest team to answer a bell tonight, don't look back, what is not in front of you is behind you!

For the B.C Lions, this was a "statement" game if there ever was one. It was also nice to see them play with a bit of a swagger, something that had missing since the tail end of last season.

The Lions are back, and the roar is back.

Loved what Logan brought to the table.
Loved how Stith brought his A-game again in place of Rob Murphy.
Loved Jarious' performance.
Loved Clermont's two jaw-dropping catches.
Loved the game.
YES!

It is and you have to wonder when they are going to make a changes in his routes that will stop him taking so many earth shattering shots. It doesn't matter how tough you are. Sooner or latter one of those is going to mess you up. It always seems that they are making him open up to catch the pass right before he gets rocked.
