This is by far the most exciting and memorable Lions home division final win - certainly much more exciting and memorable compared to the other Lions home blowout division final wins of 1983, 1985, 2006, and 2011. Perhaps another reason it was so memorable, other than the closeness of the game, was the fact that Lions were so hungry for a home division final win in 19 years since 1985 after the devastating and heartbreaking losses of 1987 and 1999.

And as exciting and memorable win as it was, the hero of the game is certainly NOT someone who will be positively remembered as a Lion - Duncan O'Mahony. And this game may have caused Buono to make the wrong decision as to which QB should have played the Grey Cup a week later. While Dickenson started fairly strong, he became more inconsistent halfway in the 3rd quarter and Printers should have entered the game by that point. It's been debated to death of course, but I'd say 99% of coaches would start the season Most Outstanding Player for the most important game of the season.

2004 West Division Final - the entire overtime which includes Paul McCalllum's miss and Duncan O'Malley's game winning field goal. (But not the first presentation of the newly designed division championship trophy  which most of you missed since you immediately left the game afterwards)

Another video of the 2004 Grey Cup in its detailed entirety:

And it's debated to death as to whether the 2004 Most Outstanding Player should have started or at least entered the game.

The 2004 WDF in its entirety!

And yes, it contains the newly-designed trophy presentation at 2:25:26  before the video is quickly replaced by the portions of the 2004 regular season finale.

I know some of you quickly headed for the exits of O'Mahony's game winning FG and regretted celebrating the team with the trophy presentation. So that's why when applicable, I've been reminding you all to stay for the trophy presentation. :beauty:

David Braley was the first to carry it, followed by Wally Buono and then Bob Ackles who presented it to the first player, Mark Washington.

Sept 18: Edmonton 33 at BC 36 (OT)

While not official, this Lions win allowed them to be closer to clinching first in the west for the first time in 5 years. Sean Fleming's attempt to tie the game failed when his FG hit the crossbar.
