Wow...here's hoping for a speedy recovery!
Calvillo needs to take care of his family before football.

I am also hoping for a speedy recovery for Mrs Cavillo, and a quick return for Mr in order to give his team a fighting chance at clinching a playoff date that may otherwise slip through their finger tips.

That TSN article is really upsetting. Jim Popp dances all around it, but he might as well have said it -- they suspect she has lung cancer. I pray that's not the case, but it's not too difficult to read between the lines here, sadly.

Anthony Calvillo gave an update today....
His wife has non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and will begin chemo to be followed by radiation.

I had feared that the diagnosis would involve cancer. I have seen this movie before too many times in my life -- when everyone hunkers down, and no one is quite sure what to say or how to say it for a couple of days, it's usually because the "c" word is involved.
The Calvillo family has a long, difficult road ahead. I will be praying for them.

Let's hope that she pulls a Mario Lemieux and comes through this with flying colours.

Agreed. From the sounds of things, at least it's fortunate that it's something they can treat.
Here's hoping that their daughters have their mother around for many long years to come.
Best wishes to AC and his family during this trying time.

AC has been placed on the injury list until after GC according to SN Ontario. This is a very nice move by the Als, at the sacrifice of their season/playoffs to a degree, at least you have to think so as an outsider at this point.
