Unfortunately I have to lean towards the Ducks. The dynamic duo Pronger and Neidermeyer logging 30+ minutes apiece + Ducks' speed up front will be the difference.

I voted Ducks in 6 but after tonight's lacklustre performance it might be less than that.

Can you imagine a football team going 3 for 43 in the red (green, whatever)zone? The Canucks have to find a way to punish teams for taking penalties. I know I wouldn't be too worried about taking some liberties with Canucks players if I was a Duck right now ...

The Ducks have too much speed with Selanne, MacDonald and crew. The Canucks had a chance in the first period, but once again - couldn't capitalize on the power play. Oh, and having Pronger and Niedermeyer also doesn't hurt.

Man can that Niedemayer skate, his ability eliminates so many battles for the puck, if only the Canucks had gone hard after him instead of Naslund at the time.....

The Canucks' lack of depth was cruelly exposed last night. Taking Bieksa and Salo off that blueline left us thinner than Nicole Richie, and just as unattractive. The Canucks cannot win trading odd man rushes with the Ducks - the stone hands displayed last night by Linden, Pyatt, and others made that abundantly clear. The only chance the Canucks have is throwing a defensive blanket over the Ducks, getting lights-out goaltending, and try to score some timely goals on the transition. In other words, be the Minnesota Wild. The only problem is that the Wild tried exactly that in their first round series with the Ducks, and the Ducks abused them like the new "boy" in Cell Block "B".

It sounds ingrateful to say after his masterful first round performance, but Luongo needs to be better than he was last night. He wasn't the reason why we lost, but he has to be a world class goalie every night for this team to have a chance, and last night he wasn't. It's not going to matter, though, if the Canucks don't get Bieksa and Salo back. You aren't going to win too many playoff games with Rory Fitzpatrick and Alexander Edler getting significant playing time.

Reminds me of Coffey. It seems so effortless and when it looks like he is just gliding he is still at top speed.

I was impressed with the Ducks speed last night. You could see McDonald change gears to hit the hole and create that 2-on-1 that led to the third goal.

I agree with MacNews call on this series (I saw it in the Sun too). The Canucks need to win tomorrow to have a realistic shot as taking 4 of the next 5 from the Ducks would be too tall of order.

It looks like I may have been off the mark with my Stanley Cup-Grey Cup remarks, so I'll have to recheck all my hockey facts before posting again...
