Jack Ewatski, currently the police chief in Winnipeg, is retiring from the force. He turns 55 later this year and has served for 34 years. Before he became chief, he was also a CFL referee.

My recollection was that he was pretty decent as a ref. I'm hoping that he will return to football at both the minor level and the pro level, because I believe that he has more to contribute.
